That Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson were traitors to the UK and America, respectively, is no secret. This book, using declassified documents, shows not only the extent of that treason but the extent to which the Allies as well as Nazi Germany sought to cover it up. Of note is Simpson's liaison with Joachim von Ribbentrop, a full year BEFORE the abdication crisis. One can only conclude from this book that the world is lucky Britain's head of state during WWII was George VI and not Edward - the "peace" he sought was nothing short of submission to Hitler.
