Filmmaker Josh Fox drives cross-country on a fact-finding mission. Gasland pairs well with PBS documentary "Bigger Than Enron": both tell how people typically (here, mostly men in leading corporate positions) lie, cheat, fabricate company performance, numbers and mission and (in Gasland) even kill to obtain and retain money and power. In the film incredulity seems to be a pacifier, but then constructive anger is stumped for solutions to local fracking. Another obstacle: people in state governments like New York state have investments in the fracking industry.
