Julia Garner is excellent in this well directed movie. I like the style of film making that Kitty Green used.

A powerful and profoundly thought-provoking movie about the way power enforces silence under his control as in the case of Harvey Weinstein.

Don't believe the social commentary hype. This film is a dud. Another film where the regressive commentary fooled the critics (92% on rottentomatoes), but the audience got it right (only 20% on rt, a horrible rating). Give this one a pass. If you want a solid MeToo movie, you're better off sticking to Bombshell. Way more interest and character development in that film.

I didn't know what to make of most of this film. I didn't know what I was watching or what the plot was for much of it. The viewer spends a lot of time watching the "assistant" appear bored doing boring things at her job...The lead in this film, Julia Garner, reminds me of Elisabeth Moss.

This film covers the topics of sexual predation, sexism in the workplace, toxic enabling, gaslighting and lays bare the mechanics of their execution. And it does it with astonishing economy and almost no dialogue. The success of the film rests upon amazing direction and a terrific and heart-breaking performance by Julia Garner. It sounds like lots of disappointed viewers were under the misapprehension that this was going to be 'Office Space', or 'The Office'. Anyone looking for a parody of the workplace shouldn't bother, because this is darker, more soul-destroying, and very real. I don't get the impression that many of the disapproving viewers have been a young woman hired to work in an environment that should propel a career, but instead presents unanticipated dilemmas—both subtle and overt—that have nothing to do with the job, and represent a whole culture of collusion. I have, and I thought the film was brilliant.

We quit it after 15-20 minutes. Who wants to go to the office when we are away from the office? Maybe they should show this to business/marketing students to urge them to pursue science classes.

Kept waiting for it to get better but it never did, what a waste of time watching it. Probably one of the worst new movies I have seen in a long time!

What was the fuss about? This movie took an emotionally-charged topic and gave it all the life of a morgue.
