I absolutely loved this book. I was drawn in immediately. It had a little romantic side plot, but it was amazing to read.10 out of 10 would recommend.
A Castle in the Clouds is a mystery story for those who would love nothing more than to escape to the mountains. Set in modern times in a hotel in the Swiss Alps protagonist Sophie Spark is offered a job as an intern. On her first day she loses two children she's looking after and everything goes downhill from there. Literally. She has to make unlikely allies and think twice about who she can trust. And with very few believing her Sophie has to face something bigger than she thought, alone. There's dances, romance, mystery, and some unexpected turns. This story is packed with relatable loving characters and a plot twists that just keeps getting better. For those who enjoy the game Clue I would definitely get A Castle in the Clouds a read. Not to mention there's a hotel kidnapper and jewel thief. 5/5 stars - SAPL Read It & Review Contributor
Kerstin Gier has created a fun romp in the Swiss Alps. With tons of red herrings and dead ends, this book is a good YA mystery. This is a slow burn mystery, with most of the action happening in the last quarter, nonetheless the story will keep you guessing until the end.
