Matt Damon is perfectly creepy while still looking innocent.

Should be "The Forgetful Mr. Ripley." "Oh, didn't I tell you he gave me this ring?" "Didn't I tell you he left me an envelope to give you?" "Didn't I tell you he gave me this coat?"

This movie with Matt Damon as the main character was good in portraying a serial killer with empathy. The acting, along with the plot was impressive. It's about a young con artist who gets mistaken for someone else and is sent to retrieve a wealthy businessman's son from Italy. Halfway through the movie, as you can imagine things go wrong and he ends up murdering some people and deceiving his way through until the tragic ending.

Mat Damon is fantastic in this movie, his facial expressions are very telling. He sometimes looks flirty, other times calculating, Creepy story!

THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY is a sad story about identity theft gone a wee bit too far, shall we say? Is it weird to root for the thief, the fraud, the two-faced man? Because the victims of his behaviour were simply too obnoxious for me to care for, I found myself wanting bad things to happen in this tale. It’s warped, I know, but maybe that can be attributed to Matt Damon’s charisma. He is not a good person, but I empathize with his pain and heartbreak, which makes the ending all the more memorable. I don’t care to spoil this film, but it’s a tale of a man caught in a web of his own lies and the lengths he will go to to fight his way out.
