Hyena Road
Blu-ray Disc - 2015
Hyena Road is a taut war action film about Canadian troops in Afghanistan as seen through the eyes of three very different men: A sniper who has never allowed himself to think of his targets as human and becomes implicated in the life of one; an intelligence officer who has never contemplated killing and becomes the engine of a plot to kill; and a legendary Mujahideen warrior who had put war behind him and is now the center of the battle zone.

This drama is a realistic as you can get about war events in Afghanistan, with credible actors and acting!

I found very realistic from combat personnel point of view the politicking do whatever it takes to make a bad situation bearable and it seems there is no end, not being able to go home.
Terrible film.
Written and directed by Paul Gross, this is a 2015 Canadian Afghan-war drama inspired by stories from real soldiers.
With an anti-war theme implied, it is a gripping war depiction with realistic performances and a heartbreaking romance.
This is truly abysmal- it's a complete mess from top to bottom with some pretty amateurish and hammy acting. Avoid this film.
I like Sutherland, Rossif. Think he's underrated as an actor.
Hyena Road, written & directed by & starring Paul Gross, is about Canadian Troops in Afghanistan. A well told tale of war without all the expected "theatrics" of other war movies I've seen.
Hyena Road had great impact on me for the simplicity of the telling and the critical nature of the subject.
Our troops are all heros. Anyone not appreciating that fact should go over to Afghanistan and give it a try.
it's a great Canadian war film!
Very enjoyable - I wish this movie received a better reception from the critics and audiences.
