The Vagrant is friendless and alone, walking across the desolate, war-torn landscape. His purpose is to reach the Shining City, last bastion of the human race, and deliver the only weapon that may make a difference in the ongoing war. This story was the most intriguing, creative and creepy book I've ever read. It is strange at points and a little hard to follow. Overall the characters stick in your mind, hard to shake off. If there are going to be more books to this story; I would definitely like to read it and see what happens next!

This is a strange book, but if you have read any reviews about it you already know that. A Vagrant who cannot speak, a baby, a goat and a sword that periodically speaks comprises the group of wanderers. The world is pretty complex but it is fed to you in a way that you dont really see the world building. It just happens, and its a very intriguing world which draws you in. Overall I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next installment.
