Add a CommentSuper fun story for ages 3 and up with wonderful illustrations and humor. It works well as a concept book (big/small) and ocean animal identification. It would be fun to pair with other stories like Margaret Read MacDonald's "Fat Cat".
In this, very funny, book, a giant squid brags about how big he is until he eaten by a whale. But even that doesn't get him down! A great book for teaching about size, or just for having fun and reading aloud.
cool
Hilarious book! The giant squid can't help comparing his awesome size to other life in the ocean. The message in the story could be something like: "Being the biggest or the best is always relative to your surroundings. Appreciate what you are." Appropriate for all ages, especially kids 4 to 7.
A great little board book that could be used to emphasize the concept of opposites.
