Add a CommentA Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks is a novel with beautiful themes written throughout. The novel's narrator, 17 year old Landon Carter, describes his vivid senior year love story. Throughout the novel, Carter finds his true self while tackling typical high school drama and rumors.
This novel is sure to capture the hearts of all its readers. It is by far my favorite novel to read. I would recommend the novel to anyone who enjoys a good romance story. -Kylie, Grade 10
A simple and sweet love story, perfect to read when you're at home sick and can't focus on anything too complex.
Nicholas Sparks tells a perfect, timeless story, with his characters, Landon and Jamie make a perfect unlikely couple. Definitely recommend this book to everyone, it will make you laugh and cry, loved it so much.
This simple novel about 2 teenagers is my favorite of all Nicholas Sparks’ books. It contains an innocence and heart that surpasses his more well known novels.
I thought this was cute. I liked the story a lot. The main issue I had was what made Landon fall in love with Jamie. She wore her hair down and he thought she was pretty, therefore he is now in love with her after thinking she was annoying their entire lives. I thought the movie changed the parts that were weak and made it a much stronger story and a much more believable plot. Even though the movie was really sappy, it had truth to it that I think the book was lacking. I recognize that books and movies are different, and I would still recommend this book. It is still a really cute love story.
The best book I have ever read so far. Written in simple English, and no unnecessary descriptions, which many love-story books do have. However, those who read the book, may not like the movie very much.
I truly enjoyed the book. I love reading a large, vocabulary packed novel-but I can find just as much joy with a short and sweet love story, as this one is. I would say that if you're into action or "bad boys meets good girl", this book isn't quite for you. But on the contrary, I feel that if you like sad, but not too sad, then this IS a good fit. Very inspirational, and Jamie shows the love of God very well. Good book to read, and nothing to feel guilty about.
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! PERFECT SHORT LOVE STORY. IT BROUGHT TEERS TO MY EYES. TOTALY RECOMMEND IT❤❤❤
A fine book. I have to be in the mood to read love stories, and it worked for me. Not the greatest book, but was kept up generally well. I usually like fiction and coming of age. If you like love stories, or coming of age (Or Nicholas Sparks) then you should read this book. Otherwise, I don't think this book is for you.
I started this book determined not to like it having seen the movie. It's better, of course. I didn't think it was the greatest love story ever. I think it would be a good vacation read. Light, easy to follow and not crazy long. I'd never read a Nicholas Sparks book before and I'm not dying to pick up another but seeing as it's February it was a nice little love story.
