This was a very good guilty pleasure book to listen to on my commute. I think it would have been better, for me, if it was a little shorter. I was ready for it to be over. There was quite a bit of back story and added details that I felt did not add greatly to the story.

I waited too long between reading this author's books to remember anything about the sub-story with his son Alex. It was intriguing and I wish I could remember more of it.

Also, a lot of the names were Russian names. I had a little trouble distinguishing the characters by name in the audio book because the names were not culturally what I am familiar. This is not a knock on the book by any means, but just something I noticed when listening to the book that I was confusing characters a little bit. Probably won't be an issue for most listeners.
