I've read all of his work and this is my favorite, and I've re-read it a few times and each one of those results in laugh-out-loud moments - which can be embarrassing in public.

Of all the books that have been transitioned into movies, I still think Danny DeVito would be idea for this main villain, and just let the laughs follow along. A good, quick read, too.

I always recommend his second book (DOUBLE WHAMMY) as the first Hiaasen book to read, then his follow-up, SKIN TIGHT. But this should be the winner and use these three as a judge for all others.

I can hardly believe this novel only got 3 and a half stars! I've read most of his, and this is pretty much my favorite. Any story in which the steroid-junky antagonist gets butt-raped to death by a bottle-nosed dolphin deserves ten stars in my book. God bless you, Carl Hiaasen! God bless ya!

I laughed from cover to cover. Hiaasen has a knack for comedy.
