Stephen Harper's Foreign Policy

A sweeping critique of Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper's foreign policy, this book examines his role in backing brutal dictatorships and withdrawing Canadian support for popular democratic movements in the Middle East. The book also discusses Canada's extensive military campaign in Libya, opposition to social transformation in Latin America, and support for a right-wing Israeli government. With an eye to Canada's growing international isolation, it is a must read for those who are wanting changes in Canada's foreign policy.

Another must read in the long line of books on the secretive, and destructive regime that we call our government. Very few of us agree with the direction that our country has gone. But it is necessary to know what has happened in our name before we can do anything about it. Highly recommended

"The Ugly Canadian" exposes: "the sordid story of the Canadian government’s sabotage of international environmental efforts, a government totally committed to tar sands producers and a mining industry widely criticized for abuses...." and a lot more. Added video of interview with author Yves Engler. Engler is now one of Canada's foremost foreign policy critics.
