Interest level: ages 4-8. The adventures of clever Owl, fearful Piglet, bouncy Tigger, melancholy Eeyore, and, of course, Pooh, a Bear of Very Little Brain. These classic stories feature subtle and sophisticated touches that will captivate older listeners as well as young fans of the Disney characters. Pooh’s story continues in The House at Pooh Corner.

As Christopher Robin says, Winnie the Pooh is a "silly old bear." Though he doesn't have too many brains, he has a lot of heart, and together with his friends Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl, Eeyore, Tigger, Christopher Robin and Piglet, Winnie the Pooh has many fun adventures in the Hundred Acre Woods.

I loved this book as a child, but I enjoy it even more as an adult!

A lovely read, suitable for all ages. AA Milne has a knack for telling a harmlessly funny and cute story, what a great writer. Unfortunately, I was starting to get a little sick of the writing style after reading about 8 out of the 10 stories (lol), but overall take 5 minutes and read a chapter of Pooh at least once in your life if you want a dose of childhood imagination. :)

Classic Winnie the Pooh but the stories don't have all the good extra jokes and pictures that come from the cartoons

Unbelievably charming. Like eating the yummiest apple pie, if that’s what innocence tasted like.

Lighthearted and fun, every story had something to make me laugh. Illustrations are adorable (especially of Pooh and Piglet!!)

Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.

Here is Edward Bear, coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. And then he feels that perhaps there isn’t. Anyhow, here he is at the bottom, and ready to be introduced to you. Winnie-the-Pooh.

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?"
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
"It's the same thing," he said.
