Easy to follow and delicious recipes. Especially nice for beginning caners who may just want to try out small batches or don't know where to start. The illustrations and personal anecdotes added a special touch that left me flipping through the pages just for fun.
I love this book and may have to finally purchase if after checking it out from the library several times.
The peach, plum, ginger jam is amazing! My family also enjoys the convenience of making our our beer bread mixes and cake mixes rather than purchasing them. The recipes in the book inspired us to look at some of our other favorite baked goods to see if they'd lend themselves to being pre-mixed in jars as well.
Great book! My grandmother always used to can....so many of these recipes are familiar. Recommend!!
This book is a great single resource canning/jamming book for someone that doesn't have any recipe books at home. I'm an avid jam maker/canner and have a few resources on my shelves. If I didn't have so many books already I would snap this one up. I especially loved the tomato jam (yum!). Other recipes that aren't that common - pickled lemony cauliflower and pickled pears. A great book overall!
