Wouldn't recommend for younger than 16 yrs. Deals with some heavy issues early on. Good read, although the characters are a bit translucent considering their background. Good story for young adults.

A very exciting read. The plight of the very poor in London 1800s weaves through the story of suspense and intrigue. Loved it.

This was the first of Mary Hooper's books that I read, and it was actually very enjoyable. Although, what mislead me at first was the description on the cover, "Death can be haunting". This was perhaps not the best way to describe the events of this story, but still somewhat suitable.
The setting was great, I loved the descriptions, and the characters' circumstances were so believable. Great book. :)
