My 2 year old LOVES this movie! Thank goodness there is more than one copy of it because every time I return one, I check out another! The movie differs from the book a little, but it follows the same outline of events plus some added characters. The message is still the same: believe in yourself. Yes, the Nightmare Train is a little "creepy", but not terrifying. With a few obstacles deterring the Little Engine from making it over the mountain and lots of adventure for a little train, I think this movie is delightful!

I thought that this would be a charming story for little children like the original story. Not so. It is very scary! not the original story!

If you think you can, you will; if you think you can't, you won't. Either way, you're right.
