The penultimate season of the hugely successful, long-running drama introduces a host of new characters. There's Beth Bailey, a brilliant ex-mercenary who was posing as an Eastern European prostitute when she ran into the team. Dimitri, an ex officer in British Special Forces, has been recruited for his skills in fighting terrorism on the front line. And finally, data analyst Tariq has been fast-tracked through the system.

Brutal season for the MI-5 gang. Seems more drama and deceit in-house than out. Still has the usual suspects, Chinese, Russians, CIA. Harry Pearce always has a delicate balancing act.

More new interesting characters along with always moving and suspenseful plots.

The Wire uses the 'F' word every sentence. MI-5 has much more class and never uses any swear words. A joy to see interesting characters, and well written meaningful plots without the trashy language which is so unnecessary anyway.

I found the character, LucasNorth very compelling, and his arc very interesting, and I recommend this series, in-particular, because of his storyline; perhaps, and arguably, this is the best season of the wonderful series.

Otherwise, and as-always: excellent, unequaled viewing, along-side TheWire, TheHour, Skins and a few other series.

best spy series ever made, period...fast paced, scenerios way too close to reality. 5 star recommendation as long as you don't mind main characters leaving every couple years!

This series continues to captivate, surprise and of course entertain. The ending is the kind that the Brits do so well. Engagement with characters, not just one superhero makes this series linger long after you finished the DVD.
