The third in the "Rambo" series and, at the time, the most violent movies ever made (according to Guinness). Action films veered to the right in the 80s and no one embodied this trend more than Rambo. What's fascinating about watching "Rambo III" now is that it's set in Afghanistan and the Mujahideen are the good guys. Anybody's better than commies, right? While it's a serviceable action movie, it's politics and rampant violence are repulsive. However, you do get to see a helicopter taken down with an explosive arrow. Stallone co-wrote it and his buff-ness is almost pornographic. Stallone would revive the character 2 decades later.
