A very useful Java 7 guide. I am a first year student in computer engineering, at uOttawa and find very convenient for various tasks. Also, I use Java 8, so everything I found so far in the book is pretty up-to-date. Whether you are a student or an adult, a learner or a professional, if you look for some useful tools and tricks, you will find them... A little advice: many people don't use the table of contents. It is the only to find what you looking for. Happy Java learning!

This is a very good, comprehensive introduction to Java. It assumes zero prior knowledge and walks through the basics. It is well-written and easy to follow. It covers all of the fundamental things you will need to know.
