Great film on how Bruce Wayne became the Batman! Love the training sequences with Ra's AL Ghul!

Great beginning to one of the greatest trilogies of all time.

This film is a savior for the character of Batman. The definitive origin story of how Bruce Wayne became a masked vigilante. Executes the main theme of fear exceptionally well.

Good movie. The first of three with Christian Bale as Batman. Still one of the best batman films in my opinion.

Ok movie. Besides the language, worth a watch.

I really liked how “Batman Begins” tells you every step of how Bruce Wayne became the Batman. Also, the movie starts off with Young Bruce falling in a well (I am not sure what it was exactly) and how his ultimate fear became bats which I thought was really cool and awesome at the same time. Christian Bale did an amazing job playing as the Batman and Bruce Wayne. My favourite part of this movie was the plot; how Ra’s al Ghul was planning to use Scarecrow’s toxin to make the whole city to panic the whole time and Batman had no clue about it. “Batman Begins” tells you how it all started in a thrilling way. This movie also encourages people to learn to overcome their fear which is indeed a good life lesson. So, overall this movie was fantastic.

Following Bruce Wayne after his parents are murdered, and his phobia of bats, he then travels the world and pursues how he can better his life from understanding a criminal's perspective. On his journey Bruce meets Ra's al Ghul, a man who trains him and teaches him his philosophy, he eventually returns to Gotham City to be a crime fighting vigilante dressed as the Batman. He receives help from Lucius Fox a companion of his father's and taking over his company 'Wayne Enterprises'. This is a well cinematographed film from Christopher Nolan, intrinsically designed this is outstanding workmanship.

A solid first movie in the Christian Bale Batman trilogy, and the trilogy just gets better. Although, I didn't really think Katie Holmes was quite the right fit. Gary Oldman is the best Det. Gordon.

In my opinion, the start for the movie was a little shaky, but it quickly remedied itself and grew out of its small hiccups into a strong movie overall. Batman has always been cool and dark, but Christian Bale and this interpretation of him brought it onto a whole new level. I found myself contrasting Batman with other DC superheroes (mainly Superman) and appreciating the stark differences between them.
Anyway, the movie itself was quite interesting. At first I wasn't so sure about it, but I gradually became more engrossed and more interested. The way the movie handled the city of Gotham and how corrupt it was was very interesting. Christian Bale's version of Batman was more gritty and dark, with more of a grey conscience than other superheroes who might see things in strictly black and white terms (I'm not saying this is a completely good thing, but for Batman as a character, it works and it's logical). The side characters were nice additions. It was great to see Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman. The Scarecrow was developed nicely, would've been great to see more of him. I personally was disappointed in Ra's al Ghul, but oh well. Also, Bruce's childhood bff Rachel was a nice addition. I liked her character.
Anyway, this is a great movie that sets the stage for the legacy of Batman, the Dark Knight. So, 4 stars.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: There's some dark scenes, a few slightly scary ones, but it's not too bad if you're mature.
