No one cooks up a tastier stew of murder, mystery, and mayhem than New York Times bestselling author Diana Mott Davidson. Entertainment Weekly calls her "today's foremost practitioner of the culinary whodunit." And now it's Crunch Time, as Davidson's delightful series protagonist, caterer and amateur sleuth-extraordinaire Goldy Schulz, digs into a deadly smorgasbord that includes a heaping helping of murder, a double dose of arson...and nine adorable beagle puppies!

Not bad. Good mystery. Lots of good recipes. Yes, you read that correctly. Not my favourite mystery writer.

She seems to be changing a bit the way she is writing. I did not like the "more complex" ... think she is a better writer as a 'light read'. Story still good and will read her next one though.

Agreed that it was one of the more complicated who dunnit & why in this series, but notes-to-self included an ! after "good."

Enjoyable, but definitely not the strongest book in the Goldy Schultz series. The story was way longer than it needed to be and was bogged down by too many different subplots.

A good summer read - most enjoyable that I've read by her maybe because it's a slightly more complex story line, & more interesting characters

A fast read. A little bit frustrating that people in the book are getting away with things, that you know just would not happen. Over all, it was alright.

The latest culinary investigation with caterer Goldy Schulz.

Goldy again goes to work to solve the who did it murder - this time 9 beagles are involved! Of course Davidson adds interesting characters as well as her stand by characters. An enjoyable read - doesn't disappoint Goldy fans.
