This is a great Civil War train film based on a true story. Be sure to watch the extras on the second DVD; especially the first one that talks about the real locomotive & the real history.
Some professional film critics consider this to be one of the top films of all time. My view is taking into consideration the time element - this silent film was done decades ago - it is a very entertaining and well executed film. However, it is a bit dated by today's standard. Also, Keaton was doing his Chaplin comic moves quite a bit too and this actually in my view slightly lowers the film's quality.
