What a disappointment! This book is tagged as a novel, but it is a poor one. I wanted to like it because I am such a devoted fan of Bronte's Jane Eyre. How sad that this author chose to write a novel about her that only makes her appear common and dull. I cannot recommend this book.

A fictionalized account of the period when Jane Eyre was written. The author lacks indepth knowledge of the Brontes. Yet another example of "pushing the present into the past".
