This third and final novel of the Lisabeth Salander saga, though still worth a read, lacks the appeal the first two novels had.

While the story picks off exactly where book two ended, it quickly fizzles out with the extensive reiteration of events of the previous novel.

The large number of new character that are introduced are difficult to keep track of, as are the covert government agencies, secret police and other shady organizations, all out to try and stifle the inevitable
mayhem that will ensue, should the story of Lisabeth’s childhood and subsequent events be made public.

The highly anticipated criminal trial, unfortunately, only takes place in the last tenth of the book. The courtroom drama, however, delivers the much sought suspense, as does the ensuing tying up of loose ends.
