Well worth borrowing just for the pictures if you love lace! If you have knitted any lace at all, you'll be able to at least knit an example of the stitch patterns at the end of the book, and there are scarves that are not huge projects like the square on the cover. There is also some knitting history, and description of the traditional construction of an Estonian lace shawl. No wonder this book is a best seller!
