Interurban To St. Albert
The Edmonton Interurban RailwayBook - 1995
The Edmonton Interurban Railway operated for only a few short months before its carbarn and its one and only car were destroyed by fire. Service on the line to St. Albert was never restored, though the inter-urban railway's tracks at the Edmonton end of the line became a part of Edmonton's street railway system. This history of the interurban system and its demise is well illustrated and includes route maps and detailed drawings and descriptions of both the car (a Drake automatrice gas-electric) and the carbarn.
