Stephen Fry - a man of many talents, words and a resonating voice that ensures all of his opinions are heard. Yet he is a commoner. That's what appeals to the audience of his tripartite autobiography. This, relates to his early life, and describes the England he grew up in as a messed up child, fairly thoroughly. For an unfamiliar audience it might be too much detail or the lack of it, because some parts are just not explained enough.

This has been on hold since the end of April. Must have been lost. Been on hold in place #3 for about 6 months now. Thanks RHPL.

I found this a fascinating memoir of a fascinating man, and a really interesting take on British public school. The physical descriptions of the dormitories where young Stephen Fry stayed have a lot in common with Harry Potter's Hogwarts, but the social life is anything but the same. Culturally fascinating.
