Pressure Maxwell emerges from Sing Sing planning to run a dog track with his cronies Jug and Weepy. But a plan needs dough, so the boys open a luggage shop as a front while attempting to tunnel into the bank next door. The store gains unexpected success. Hanging around the store is a gabby traveling valise salesman. A sour con arrives wanting in on their action.
Edward G. Robinson stars in a comedy/crime film that sometimes reminds one of a half serious Three Stooges film. This is the earliest film with Jackie Gleason that I have ever seen.

This slapstick comedy featuring language & gags that may seem cliché, but this is 1942, so it's probably the original. An intelligent crook, his dopey sidekick, & another crook plan to tunnel into a bank, but they get sidetracked by the luggage business, friends from the neighbourhood, & another group of criminals that ruin the heist with haste.
Edward G. Robinson in a comedy. Cute movie.
