Comment
Add a CommentFor the very small number of people whining: liking a book does not make it immune from parody, nor is a parody necessarily meant to reflect poorly on the source. It's a book of fart jokes and if you don't like those, I get that. I happen to like them, because I am an idiot.
I read the whole Hunger Games series, and in all honesty, didn't like it. It struck the same tones as *gag* the Twilight series (which I also read, so I have hatin' rights), as in 1 girl, 2 boys, and she can't make up her mind along, with others. I loved Hunger Pains and took a sick delight in it's mocking of the seriousness and feminist tones of Hunger Games, pun intented.
Why so serious, everyone? It's called a parody for a reason. I'm a fan of the books and I did enjoy the movie, but I was still able to enjoy this as well. Contrary to popular belief, you CAN like both at the same time. I thought it was entertaining enough and there were multiple parts that made me laugh out loud. While I DO like the characters from the original works, the author of the parody does a great job of exaggerating their flaws and weaknesses, and making them humorous.
oh wow i can't wait to read this ithis just looks dumb....
started reading the book, stopped a couple pages in! STUPID! it makes Katniss look like a dumb, stupid girl who knows nothing. I hated it. I've read the hunger games twice own the movie and have seen it twice, this book is a total waste of time!!!
This book is very funny. I read i twice.
i couldn't stop laughing i loved this book!
I haven't read it yet, but I honestly LIKE parodies, books, movies, or songs. I like the idea of someone started a base of a story, but another person thought they could change a few parts and have it to, maybe, a different genre. H8ers out there, stop. It usually takes me a while to find really good books, and parodies are FUN. I've seen the movie trailer for this, and it's hilarious. So stop. If you wanna hear more people argue about parodies and stuff, go to YouTube, and type in, "CaptainSparklez music videos," and then comment on it. You will soon get a bad rep if you post a negative on it because it's a parody. Thank you.
Very funny and witty. At times I laughed out loud, at other times merely smiled. It was a great pick me up, as I read it when I was feeling depressed. I loved how they exaggerated the flaws of each character, and used similar sounding but even more ridiculous names.
This book was not funny in the least bit. It was repulsive. It would have been funny if the ways they change the book weren't so demeaning.
