SO SO DVD C-
This movie wasn't as enjoyable as the first one. After 2 years of marriage, Carrie is worried that some of the excitement is going out of her marriage to Big. Then the 4 friends take a trip to the Middle East where they stay in a luxury hotel. The movie seemed too long.
The Disneyfication of feminism. "I Am Woman" was always more of a commercial vehicle than a political statement, but when the fab four adopt it as their anthem during a karaoke session, the song reaches a new low. The four rudest, shallowest women I've ever encountered--thank heavens I'm not at risk of meeting them in real life.
A little over the top with exaggerated jokes. You can kill time watching the movie; however, it is not all that funny.
Cringeworthy script. Superficial and painfully embarrassing to watch. Literally the worst movie I've ever seen.
I didn't like it AT ALL, couldn't wait for the movie to end, not entertaining, not funny... waist of time!!! I think that is the worst movie I have ever seen!!!
Skip It - Sex in the City 2 (2010) 146 min. With the understanding that I never watched any of the HBO television series episodes, the conclusion I gathered from watching this film is that the characters have never grown out of childhood. They are children in women's bodies. They are also materialistic, greedy and envious. The concept of giving has never been an issue in their lives and yet, they expect everything to fall in their laps. If you need to experience people that demonstrate the "sense of entitlement" then watch the ladies of Sex and the City. Watching this film that provides advice on everything from selecting the improper nanny to menopausal therapy to infidelity to how to behave badly in the Middle East, I learned absolutely nothing. In fact, all these women really need is a healthy dose of reality. The first half of the film which has the ladies in New York and is a complete waste of time - annoying actually. You'll witness a gay marriage that looks more like a salute to the grand musicals of the 30s. You'll watch 65 year old Liza Minnelli strut her "stuff" singing a song with the lyrics "if you like it then you should put a ring on it" - I literally shuttered. The second half of the film transports all their idiosyncrasies to Abu Dhabi where the story does have its moments and not all bad either. This may not be the worst film on record, but it's a contender. If your not a fan of Sex in the City, you won't become one after this film; if you are, I have to ask "why?!?"
